TIPS to release the music of Pakistani Film 'BOL' in India
The most hyped Pakistani Feature Film ‘Bol’ is scheduled to release on 20th May 2011. BOL’s Music will be released in India by none other than music promotion Company TIPS India.
TIPS Industries Limited is an India-based film production and music company. The Company is an entertainment and media company and operates in two business segments: audio/video productions and film productions/distribution. Tips has recently produced the films like Prince its showtime and Ajab Prem ke Gazab Kahani, both featuring the voice of Pakistani Superstar Atif Aslam. Atif Aslam’s third music album ‘Meri Kahani’ was also released by Tips Company in India, while Fire Records holds its album rights in Pakistan.
BOL movie, directed by critically acclaimed Pakistani director Shoaib Mansoor, is completely produced in Pakistan and thus Tips will only have the distribution rights of the film and its music in India. As the film promotions have also started on Pakistani Channels, we are hoping to see BOL released in Pakistan on the same date i.e 20th May 2010. GEO Films is the company releasing the movie in Pakistan, with support of JANG and GEO Group.
Atif aslam - Standard Chartered Priority Night in Lahore at Haveli Asif Jah
The Standard Chartered Priority Night which was a huge success in Karachi was replicated for the cultural capital of Pakistan, Lahore at Asif Jah Haveli few days ago. It was a night full of stars, both pop stars and folk stars, best of the best, all on one stage. These first time collaborations between pop and folk legends took place with a 22-piece orchestra from across Pakistan.
The young sufi sensation, Sanam Marvi started the magical night by enveloping the audience with her voice, a voice so big and skilled for her age it enchanted all. She was followed by the legendary Arif Lohar who made the crowd sway their heads to the lilt of his chimta. His throaty voice, that rides on the crest of waves, delivered ‘Jugni’ with an energy that is unbeatable. He announced his fourth song would be a fusion and that is when Ali Zafar appeared on the stage. Ali lifted his voice with ‘Rangeen’ and Arif Lohar joined him, making the perfect pop and folk duet ever. Not only did both singers captivated the audience with the song but did a little dance performance which made it a complete package to watch. Arif Lohar left the stage to Ali Zafar who gave the audience a flavour of Chal Dil Mere with a blend of salsa and carried it very beautifully. He can be rightly called the show stealer for this standard chartered gathering for a number of reasons. He proved he has a voice gentle enough for a sufi song and sensual enough for a love song. His ting of opera in the performance raised the bar for his contemporaries. With Dastan e Ishq, crowd saw an intensely moved, teary eyed Ali Zafar which reveals a very spiritual and pure side of the singer. Another lovely gesture that he made was stepping down to the crowd reach his wife and dance unrehearsed with her on Channo. But that was not all, he set a new example for the entire music industry by introducing Atif Aslam on stage in such appreciative words that no singer had ever used for their contemporaries. This display of humility even after making it big in Bollywood earned the singer respect from all. May be other singers should learn a lesson or two from Ali Zafar.
After Ali’s appearance, audience saw another star Atif Aslam who kicked off with ‘Wo Lamhe’. He started off well but his performance was not as strong as expected of him. His first number won applause from the audience but somehow Atif Aslam probably could not charm the audience like his past performances as people started leaving after his initial song. The closing number was all four artists on the stage together and it was undoubtedly one of the finest collaborations ever. That is how the night was concluded.

Atif Aslam Gets Engaged
Atif Aslam who is perhaps the most popular celebrity of the country has gotten engaged last month to a girl named, Sara Bharwana, a reliable source tells who apparently knows both of them.
Our source further adds that Aslam is going out with the lady, who is a kinnard graduate, for about 4 years and for some reason still doesn’t want to make her public. It could be because the pop star thinks he will lose his following like this. Since it’s already been a month and the word hasn’t come out, it is obvious that the management will come with straight denial once they hear of this. Also, since the news is as big as it can get, we wanted to confirm it with another source which unfortunatly we couldn’t. We badly wanted to get hands on some of the engagement pictures but unfortunatly since the ceremony only had immediate family, we couldn’t grab those either. I mean I know how it’s like, “Pics or didn’t happen”, but that’s all we have on this for now. We will keep you posted as we have more

Atif aslam winning BBC Excellence Music Award :)
Atif Aslam is getting more and more awards these days. I made two posts earlier when he got TAMGHA-e-IMTIAZ and Most Stylish Singer Awart from MTV. And now he is going to London for BBC Excellence Music Award next month. Reportedly Atif has received an exclusive invitation for the event. He will not only perform at the event but will also be honoured with BBC Excellence Music Award. It is pertinent to mention that Pakistani singers including Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Hadiqa Kiyani, Tina Sani, Junoon group have too secured BBC Awards in the past..... Aslam kept winning these competitions every semester. He found Goher Mumtaz, a talented guitarist, at this time. Together, they started doing mini concerts for their friends. Atif used to primarily sing songs from Junoon and Strings at these concerts. The size of the audiences kept on increasing. They performed concerts for their college, McDonalds and some other restaurants as well. Atif recorded the legendary song Aadat at Mekal Hassan’s Studio. Mekal injected his professionalism in the song to make it worth listening time after time. Goher formed the band and named the band as Jal, which means water, the essence of life. The song got popularity on the different musical websites on Pakistan. . The song was also played on such Pakistani radio stations. The music video for Aadat was shot one day in a warehouse in Karachi. Soon it came out to be a super hit, topping the Pakistani music charts. On the base of this one song, “Jal” began their tour of Pakistan—such was the strength of “Aadat”. However, Atif and Gohar conflicted upon some band management matters leading to a band breakup. Atif decided to launch his solo career while Gohar continued with Jal, seeking for new band mates

Atif aslam Tamgha-E-Imtiaz
Atif Aslam is widely recognized in the subcontinent and has given several Pakistani hit song such as Aadat, Woh Lamhe, and Meri Kahani. In addition to his success in Pakistan, he has also emerged into a successful singer in India receiving many Filmfare nominations, with Bollywood hits Doorie, Pehli Nazar Mein and Tere Bin. He is the former lead singer of Jal.
